To explore national white documents under the lens of the research hypothesis to explore a) how each Member State has processed EU & global space in its education policy documents, and b) if the official discourse has an impact on students’ representational spaces. (WP5)
Discourse analysis. National official policy documents, of the three Member States, referring to the aims and scope of the national education system for the period 2000-2015 will be analyzed, in order to explore how the respective member states have processed EU and global space in the formulation of their education policies. For the discourse analysis we will use the textometry software TXM, produced by the ENS Lyon, in order to proceed to specificity and factorial analysis of national corpora. Data from the discourse analysis will be further compared to students’ responses in order to investigate if there are correlations or causal relations between the individual and the national representational spaces.
